Uleiul de cocos este un ulei vegetal care se extrage din miezul de nuca de cocos uscat (cunoscut sub denumirea de copra). Este folosit adesea in industria cosmetica, dar si in bucataria unor tari asiatice.  Este cunoscut si sub denumirea de grasime de nuca de cocos sau unt de cocos.

Caracteristici: 
Uleiul de cocos este bogat in grasimi saturate. Poate avea forma solida sau lichida, in functie de temperatura mediului ambiant.

 

Tipuri de ulei de cocos

  • Ulei organic de nuca de cocos nerafinat: Este considerat a fi cel mai bun dintre toate. Este extras din nuca de cocos proaspata, printr-un proces special de fermentatie ce protejeaza efectele benefice ale uleiului de cocos. Acest tip are cele mai mari proprietati antioxidante.
  • Uleiul de cocos extra virgin:  Acesta se face prin presarea la rece a uleiului ce nu permite pastarea antioxidantilor acestuia.
  • Ulei de cocos rafinat: Acest tip de ulei, de obicei, nu are gust sau miros de cocos. Este incalzit, alb si deodorizat.  Nu pastreaza la fel de multe beneficii ca cel nerafinat.
  • Ulei de cocos fractionat: Acest ulei este considerat un bun vector pentru activele cosmetice liposolubile si uleiurile esentiale. Este non-comedogenic, fiind adecvat pentru tenul gras sau mixt.

Uleiul de cocos are beneficii multiple pentru sanatate si este deseori folosit in alimentatie. Desigur, este de nelipsit in industria cosmetica, aducand multe beneficii pentru ten si par.

Cum folosim uleiul de cocos ca produs cosmetic:

  • pentru ten si piele – acizii grasi din uleiul de cocos contribuie la fixarea fibrelor de colagen, element esential pentru fermitatea pielii, si ajuta la vindecarea rapida a epidermei. Daca ai tenul gras, nu este indicat sa il aplici ca atare pe piele, fiind un produs comedogenic. Pentru tenul uscat, este indicat insa. Pentru un ten mai luminos si intinerit, il poti aplica direct pe piele, masand usor pana este absorbit complet. Este eficient in tratarea ridurilor;
  • masca pentru par – acizii grasi din uleiul de cocos ofera stralucire parului, un aspect mai sanatos si previn despicarea firelor de par. Poti alege sa aplici o cantitate mica la varfuri, pentru a reduce ruperea acestora, sau il poti folosi ca o masca. Dupa ce iti speli parul si il usuci, maseaza-l bine cu ulei de cocos, apoi infasoara-l intr-un prosop si lasa-l prins peste noapte. Spala parul dimineata si te vei bucura de un par suplu si stralucitor;
  • lotiune pentru corp – acest ulei ajuta la hidratarea pielii si la refacerea epidermei, asa ca poti inlocui lotiunea de corp obisnuita cu acest ulei magic. Il poti aplica dupa dus, direct pe pielea umeda, intr-un strat subtire.
  • ulei de cuticule: Utilizează-l pe cuticule pentru a-ti ajuta unghiile sa creasca.
  • balsam de buze – daca vrei sa iti hidratezi buzele, iti poti prepara propriul balsam de buze natural dintr-un amestec de ulei de cocos, unt de shea si ceara de albine, cate o lingurita din fiecare ingredient. Topeste-le apoi intr-un bol de sticla, prin procesul bain-marie, adica in baie de abur. Toarna apoi lichidul intr-un recipient de balsam de buze, pe care il poti gasi in comert, si pastreaza balsamul de buze la rece, pentru a nu se inmuia;
  • demachiant natural – In plus, acesta poate fi folosit si ca demachiant. Amesteca 2 linguri de ulei de cocos, 1 lingura de vitamina E si 2 picaturi de ulei esential de levantica si pune amestecul la frigider, pana se intareste. Il poti folosi apoi pentru demachierea ochilor, chiar si pentru a indeparta rimelul rezistent la apa. Uleiul de cocos aplicat in zona ochilor va reduce semnele de oboseala;
  • baie detoxifianta – poti face o data pe saptamana o baie detoxifianta cu ulei de cocos si sare de baie, aceasta fiind o metoda ideala pentru relaxare, remineralizarea si detoxifiere
  • previne vergeturile – daca il aplici zilnic pe piele, uleiul de cocos poate actiona ca un bun remediu natural care previne aparitia vergeturile;
  • trateaza celulita – pentru a combate celulita, incerca o solutie compusa din o lingura de ulei de cocos si 10 picaturi de ulei esential de grapefruit. Maseaza energic zona afectata, cu miscari circulare, repetand acest tratament dupa fiecare baie;
  • tratament anti-acneic – acesta actioneaza ca un antibiotic natural care combate bacteriile care produc inflamatii la nivelul pielii. Pentru un efect rapid, poti combina uleiul de cocos cu ulei esential de Arbore de Ceai. Alege tipul de ulei de cocos potrivit pentru tenul tau;
  • exfoliant pentru piele – amesteca ulei de cocos cu zat de cafea si putina scortisoara si vei obtine un exfoliant natural pentru ingrijirea pielii; Cum exfolierea pe baza de zahar este in trend, poti amesteca uleiul de cocos cu zahar pentru a obtine un excelent exfoliant pentru fata. Amestecat cu sare de mare, devine un exfoliant perfect pentru a indeparta pielea uscata de pe picioare.

How we use coconut oil as a cosmetic product:

  • for skin and complexion– fatty acids in coconut oil contribute to the fixation of collagen fibers, an essential element for the skin’s firmness, and help to quickly cure the epidermis. If you have oily skin, it is not advisable to apply it as such on the skin, this oil being a comedogenic product. However, it is indicated for dry skin. For a brighter and rejuvenated skin, you can apply it directly to the skin, massaging it lightly until it is fully absorbed. It is effective in treating wrinkles;
  • mask for hair – fatty acids in coconut oil gives hair a shine, a healthier look and prevent hair splintering. You can choose to apply a small amount to the tips to reduce their tearing, or use it as a mask. After washing your hair and drying it, massage well with coconut oil, then wrap it in a towel and let it snuggle overnight. Wash your hair in the morning and you will enjoy a gentle and shiny hair;
