Hands are our business card! You have certainly heard this from childhood. A woman always has to look impeccable and take care of her, and her hands are no exception to this rule. A perfect manicure will not go unnoticed! But that’s why you need to have a healthy nail. Here’s a care routine that will help you have the long, beautiful nails you want:

1. Keep hands clean

It is important for the nails and skin around them to be clean. Hygiene is very important in keeping your nails healthy. To prevent bacterial infections and stains, you need to clean your nails and keep them dry. Start taking care of your nails by removing the old nail polish (if any). Try to avoid acetone, which will thin and exfoliate your nails, instead uses a solvent with a gentle formula. Put soap on a toothbrush and gently clean the nails and skin around them. This little trick will remove any trace of dirt and exfoliate the dead skin. You can choose to use a scrub for your hands, it will have the same beneficial effect!

2. Trims regularly!

Regular trims are very important,  as they are to your hair. Set aside time to clip them every two weeks,. Adjust the period according to the needs of your nails.

3. Values health over length!

Certain long nails are beautiful, but if your nails are brittle and break quickly, it is advisable to keep them short. Short nails with a rounded or almond shape are easier to manage, stronger and look neater. So you can focus on building the nail resistance without worrying about breaking it. You can use treatments to strengthen the nail. On the market there are complex products such as 8in1, 3in1 that strengthen the nails, stimulate growth, protect against exfoliation, increase the degree of shine, etc. Choose the right option for you!

4. Do not cut cuticles!

Cuticle protects the nail from bacteria, so do not remove them! Gently push the cuticles with an wooden orange stick once a week. I use cuticle treatment every night before I get to bed.

5. Take care of your tools!

As with makeup brushes, disinfecting nail tools is very important! Wash the metal utensils with soap and water, then wipe them with alcohol. Do not forget to replace the emery boards regularly!

6. Read the labels!

As with makeup products, or skin care, opt for quality products! Avoid products containing toxic substances such as dibutyl phthalate, formaldehyde and toluene. These substances lead to fragility, cracking and splitting nails.

7. Indulge in acrylic or gel treatments sparingly

I know … look good and resist in time! But any nail expert does not recommend this type of manicure. But if you really can not give up your gel nails, there are a few ways to protect your hands. The biggest problem with gel manicure is exposure to UV rays. It is recommended to use cream with high sun protection factor or special gloves, which will only expose your nails, protecting your hands from harmful UV rays.

8.Mosturize!

You’re not going to bed until you mosturize your face, do you? Why to be different for nails? You can use a blend of almond oil and avocado oil to keep your cuticles and nails hydrated. In commerce there are a multitude of products for this purpose. You can opt for a night-mask or an intensely moisturizing serum. Apply before bedtime on clean nails. Let it act overnight and remove in the morning.

9. Take care of the diet!

Nails are made of a protein called keratin. You can improve the quality of your nails by adjusting your diet. Add vitamins and supplements to your diet such as biotin, vitamin E and fish oil. In commerce there are food supplements for hair, skin and nails. I recommend you try them and enjoy the benefits they will bring you!

10. Protect!

Protect your hands as much as possible! Every time you clean with hard chemicals, gardening, it is recommended to wear gloves. Also in cold weather wearing gloves, because cold air and wind do not dry your skin.
