We continue the series of pictures in the wonderful dresses from Ever-pretty, and what a fabulous place for a photo shoot than the Romanian Athenaeum. Located on Calea Victoriei, in George Enescu Square, the building is a concert hall built between 1886 and 1888, harmoniously intertwining the neoclassical style with the eclectic style. The concert hall of the Romanian Athenaeum hosts the most important cultural events in Bucharest. The Romanian Athenaeum is a symbol for the national culture of Romania, becoming one of the most important tourist attractions in Bucharest.
The comic slogan: “Give a leu for the Athenaeum!” is known to everyone. The palace of the Romanian Athenaeum was built with the money from a public subscription, following the organization of a national lottery (500,000 tickets worth one leu). The idea of the appeal surprisingly turned into a lesson of unity, of awakening the national consciousness.
Even the surroundings of the Athenaeum are notable, you will find buildings full of history, on the walls of which are built stories drowned in the mists of time, such as the National Art Museum of Romania, the Central University Library Carol I, Kretzulescu Church and the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
