The preparation is easy, but the result is spectacular, and the combination of sweet, salty and crunchy makes it truly memorable.
Required ingredients: Baked parsnip
• 600 g parsnips
• Salt (to taste)
• 2 tablespoons olive oil
• 50 g honey
• 50 g roasted almonds
• Sea salt for serving
Recipe: Baked parsnips
1. Wash the parsnips thoroughly and cut off the ends. If the pieces are thicker, you can halve them for even baking.
2. Place the parsnips in a saucepan and cover with water. Add salt and boil for 5 minutes. Then drain the water and leave to cool slightly.
3. Place the parsnips in a baking tray, drizzle with 2 tablespoons of olive oil and make sure each piece is well coated. Place the tray in a preheated oven at 200°C and bake for 30 minutes.
4. Remove the tray, add 50g of honey over the parsnips and mix well to distribute the sweetness evenly. Sprinkle 50g of toasted almonds on top.
5. Return the pan to the oven and bake for another 25 minutes. Stir again halfway through to prevent sticking.
6. The dish is ready when the parsnips are sticky and nicely caramelized.
Sprinkle with sea salt before serving for extra flavor.
