Autumn comes with tempting aromas and appetizing flavors. Quinces are sought during this period. Autumn gave us quinces, which painted in yellow and covered them in the fluff, added a special taste and a pleasant smell. In addition, these fruits are full of vitamins and minerals and bring multiple health benefits.

Regardless of how we eat them – raw, cooked, dried – quinces retain their properties and act positively on the body.

To enjoy their taste, I leave below my recipe for a quince dessert that recalls the taste of childhood, the smell of quince kept by the window.

Ingredients:

    • 3 quinces;
    • 200 g of sugar;
    • 600 ml of water;
    • 2 tablespoons flour;
    • rum essence;
    • cinnamon.

Method of preparation:

Quinces are washed and they are cleaned by the elbow and the hard side by the elbow. Cut quince into slices. In a saucepan put the sugar and let it caramelize on a low heat. Mix it often so that it does not burn. After the sugar has caramelized add the water and bring to a boil, until a syrup is obtained. Once the syrup has formed, add the slices of quince and boil for 20 minutes. Mix flour with a little water until it becomes a cream and add over boiling quinces. You can add a little essence of rum and a little cinnamon to complete the taste of this preparation. Mix carefully to avoid breaking the slices of quince. Allow a few minutes to boil and the food is ready!

Good appetite!
