Quinoa dessert with caramelized pears

Hi! Today I will pamper you with a delicious dessert but at the same time healthy, perfect for any age. A vegan dessert, easy to prepare, with an interesting mix of textures and unexpected flavors.

Hi! Today I will pamper you with a delicious dessert but at the same time healthy, perfect for any age. A vegan dessert, easy to prepare, with an interesting mix of textures and unexpected flavors.

Ingredients:

(enough for 3 servings)

  • 100 g quinoa;
  • crunchy oatmeal;
  • oat syrup;
  • coconut cream 150 ml;
  • 3 pears not very ripe;
  • 1 tablespoon coconut oil;
  • 1 tablespoon honey.

Method of preparation:

Put the quinoa on the boil. The quinoa-water ratio is 1: 2. Thus, add half a glass of quinoa to a glass of water. Let it boil for about 20 minutes, with the lid on.

During this time cut the pears into strips of about one cm. In a hot pan put the coconut oil and honey. Allow them to warm and then add the pears. Allow the pears to caramelize for 4-5 minutes, then turn off the heat.

Now begins the artistic part: assembling the desert. Play as you please and let your imagination run wild. In a transparent bowl put a layer of crunchy oatmeal then a layer of pears. Add a little oat syrup if you prefer your dessert to be sweeter. Then continue with a layer of quinoa and another layer of pears. As a last coat, use coconut cream.

I put the coconut cream in a separate bowl and mixed it until it got a creamy consistency, then added it to my dessert.

Above you can add oat syrup for decoration.

Put half a glass of quinoa with a glass of water, bring to a boil.

While the quinoa is boiling, cut the pears into strips of about 1 cm.

In a pan, put a tablespoon of coconut oil and one of honey, heated it. Then add the pears and leave them to caramelize for about 5 minutes.

Once the quinoa has boiled you can assemble the preparation.

Put the ingredients in layers, in the desired proportions, according to preference.

You can decorate the preparation with oat syrup, for an appetizing appearance, as a masterchef.

 

 

It is recommended that this dessert be consumed cold.
