I love interactive museums and Madame Tussauds is one of my favorites! I visited the one in Berlin and I want to tell you that I had a great time. When you walk into the museum, time is canceled. You will translate into different stories and imagine what your life would look like as a politician, rock star, Hollywood actress, famous scientist or performance sportsman. You will join the rebels of the Star Wars in the fight against darkness.
Who was Madame Tussaud?
Madame Tussaud was born in 1761 in Strasbourg, with the name of Marie Grosholtz. In 1780, Marie became an art tutor at the sister of King Louis XVI and went to live at the Royal Court in Versailles.
In 1793, Marie was jailed in Paris, in Laforce Prison. At her liberation, she is forced to prove her obedience to the Revolution, making death masks of executed nobles and her former employers, the King and the Queen.
In 1794 the French Revolution ends and she inherits Dr. Philippe Curtius’s wax exhibition. A year later, she married François Tussaud. In 1802, Marie made a tour with her exhibition, in the British Isles, leaving her husband behind.
In 1835 she moved with her sons to London at ‘The Baker Street Bazaar’.
Madame Tussaud dies in 1850.
The Berlin Museum opened in 2008 and was the third Madame Tussauds museum in Europe.

Here are some pictures of my experience in the museum. I had a great time here and I would come back anytime. The light in the museum is not the most advantageous for those photos. My pictures are noisy or too burnt. However, I guarantee that in the wax figurine museum, you will have a wonderful day in which you will laugh and run from one character to another to taste a moment of the celebrity!
