Last weekend I was with my friends in Cluj-Napoca to visit some old friends who moved there for study. We left home in the morning to save time. The weather has been unstable lately, but it seemed like a great day. The sun came slowly. We chose to go through the Olt Valley. I love the landscapes here and always leave me the magic of the mountain crossing the Olt river. We stopped at a gas station and took advantage of the time spent there and took some pictures.

We departed a little from the road and went to Porumbacu de Sus to visit Clay Castle in the Zanelor Valley. I had heard much about it, but I had never visit this place.

A unique, fairytale atmosphere. It’s definitely one of those places where you have to go at least once in a lifetime. On the bank of Porumbacu, a couple from Bucharest brought to life the dream of any child. A 4-star guest house with wooden structure, outdoor lime plaster and river stone towers. The construction is due to be completed soon, and the 10 rooms will can be use. Next to the castle is the restaurant, which will be open soon. In the courtyard of the clay castle, the owners have arranged a place of relaxation, with logs, straw bales, iron tables and armchairs.

At the entrance there is a 5 lei fee.

I’ll leave you some pictures that hope to recreate the fairytale atmosphere of this place.

I hardly left the castle behind and went further to Sibiu. We stopped at the Zoo in Sibiu. A quiet walk along the cozy walks and amusing animals. An excellent place for a quiet afternoon. Suitable for families with children. You can stroll with the boat on the lake or hang out with your little ones in the garden parley.

We stopped at the Frieda House to eat. With Romanian specific, the dishes were delicious and very appealing. Here I drank the best shock in the world.

Sibiu is a city full of tourist attractions and beautiful places worth visiting, most of them are located in the historical center of the city. I had already visited the city in the past, and we had to get to Cluj-Napoca, so I only visited the Large Square. A list of the most important tourist attractions in Sibiu!
